Wetland Native Habitat Restoration

Event Chair: Melissa Mau

DETAILS:

Wetland Restoration of Native Habitats Wetland restoration workdays occur every Tuesday from 8:30 am - 12 pm. These workdays involve the removal of invasive plants, out-planting native plant species, and clearing of the waterways. Please bring clothes and covered shoes that you don't mind getting dirty in. It is recommended that you wear long pants or leggings. Please bring with you water and sun protection as well. Parking: We are located at 46-406 Kamehameha Highway Kaneohe HI 96744 but please enter through the Kealohi gate. As you are driving towards Kahaluu on Kamehameha Hwy, drive over the Heeia bridge, you'll see the Heeia fishpond on your right and the mountains on your left. Right after the bridge, you'll see a gate on your left-hand side right before the bend — turn left there for parking. * If you have any deep cuts or wounds, we advise you to stay out of the water.
