Edible Hibiscus – Gallon
The huge succulent leaves on this plant, also known as Lau Pele, are great for wraps, soups, and lasagnas. It is high in iron and vitamins A and C.This plant is related to okra and has the same slime good for thickening soups. Once cut up the entire plant sheds slime, so it doesn’t function as a leafy green in uncooked foods like salads. It can be sautéed with chopped garlic, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar to make a delicious stir-fry base.
