Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi depends on the generosity of people in the community like you to help fulfill our mission.  Your donation will help to create experiences for our youth, provide safe habitats for endangered species, and help to restore our native forests.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Kitchen

Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi is working to develop a commercial kitchen.  Equipment items which we are in need of include:

  • Large Vegetable Peelers

Farm

Tools

Farm tools are constantly breaking under heavy use.  Some tools needed include:

  • Brush Trimmers
  • Wheel Barrows
  • 5+ Gallon Buckets
  • Onion Bags
  • Potting Mix
  • Quality Compost
  • Produce Scale
  • Knives

Conservation/Restoration Equipment

Conservation and restoration  equipment need regular maintenance.  Items which are needed include:

 

  • Fuel, Diesel, Ethanol Free Gas
  • Hydraulic Fluid, Steering Fluid
  • Grease
  • Fuel , Air, and Hydraulic Filters
  • Fluid Disposal Boxes
  • Gravel, Base Course, Rock, Coral aggregates
  • Cement Mixer

Since 2010, Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi has restored productivity to approximately six acres of loʻi kalo and has cleared an additional twenty acres for mala for diversified agriculture.
